Newspapers by Belle Forrest Sumpter Gullett and put into a scrapbook to be given to her descendents. note: john ames was brother in law (married her sister) to belle forrest sumpter gullett- My Husband and I had gone to Okla for this funeral. I became ill with strep-throat and was taken to the hospital for treatment in a high fever with seizures. Grandma belle gullett stayed home from the funeral to sit with me and care for Natalie Gayle, Stephanie and the new born twins. I remember very little of the days we were there, but it seems like every time I opened my eyes grandma Gullett was by my side. If ever in my life I was prayed for-I am sure it was then.
