JOHNNIE MAE FINLEY

OCNS - February 27, 2002 (Delayed obituary) - Johnnie Mae Cassandra Arlene 
Brown Finley, 58, died Thursday, September 13, 2001, in Stillwater, 
Oklahoma.

Services were held Thursday, September 20, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 
Stillwater with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. 

Interment was at 2:30 p.m. at Pawhuska (Oklahoma) Cemetery under the 
direction of Strode Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Johnnie Mae was born Oct. 4, 1942, in Pratt, Kan., to Leslie and Lorene 
(Hawkins) Brown.   She was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Pratt, 
Kansas, where she was a long-time member.

February 2, 1960, in Alva, Oklahoma, she married Travis Finley of 
Pawhuska.   She was employed as a nursing assistant at Home Call and was a 
member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Stillwater at the time of her death.

Survivors include:   her husband; four sons, Travis Finley, Jr., Reverend 
Craig Finley, Phillip Finley and Donnell Finley; daughters-in-law; three 
grandchildren; two brothers, Kent Brown of Newton, Kansas, and Kevin Brown 
of Wichita, Kansas; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Johnnie Mae was predeceased by two sisters, 
Vickie Brown and Brenda Brown.
