"WHITEY" MOORE-OCNS-January 24, 2000 - John O. Moore, 86, longtime Wynona, Oklahoma resident, passed away January 21, at his residence in Wynona."Whitey" was born September 9, 1913 near Grenola, Kansas, the son of Scott and Mary Elizabeth (Arbuckle) Moore.He married Anna Grace Stiles March 8, 1934 in Howard, Kansas. She preceded him in death April 18, 1994. Whitey and Mary Alice Bryant Gullett were married November 5, 1994 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.John was retired from Williams Brothers Pipeline Company and later worked with The City of Wynona Water Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wynona. Survivors in addition to his wife, Mary Alice of the home in Wynona are four daughters, Jane Johnson and Patsy Lay of Wynona, Jean Thornton of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Carol Neely Wright of Joshua, Texas and a son, John Richard Moore of Wynona; six step-children, Cecil M. Gullett, Jr. of Moore, Oklahoma, Karen Glendenning, Janice Bruno, Dorothy Kraemer, Bobby Gullett and Tommy Gullett all of Pawhuska; a sister, Neoma Clark of Eureka, Kansas; thirty- three grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Dale Moore, his parents, two sisters, Dorothy Corder and Ellen Sunset; two brothers, Claude Moore and Howard Moore; two great grandchildren, Courtney Magealene Haught and Trudy Jolene Ratliff. Services were held Monday, January 24, 2000 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska followed by interment in The Greenlawn Cemetery, Grenola, Kansas.Reverend John White and Gene Pratt officiated under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Directors.
