John was a veteran of WWII, serving with honor in the U.S. Navy as an armed guard. John retired from Consolidated Freightways after working 32 years as a teamster. As a young man he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. (ccc) and later worked for the U.S. Forest Service. A Member of American Legion Post # 131 A volunteer fire fighter for Sperry Fire Department.
