Powell Memorial Cemetery--Hominy OK The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 33, No. 47 November 21, 2001 Page 5 Andy Junior Johnson Andy Junior Johnson was born in Olive, on July 24, 1935 to Beulah Rea Hendricks and Andy Franklin Johnson. Andy entered into rest on November 15, 2001 in Oklahoma City. Andy was raised and schooled in Hominy. He was drafted in the Army in June of 1958 and served active duty in Korean War until he was honorably discharged in 1960. He married Bonnie Deatherage in 1962. He worked in the oilfield most of his life. Andy was a very quiet person, a man of few words. He enjoyed listening to country music and fishing. He was a very loving person and he especially loved his family. Andy is survived by his wife Bonnie Deatherage Johnson of the home; one brother, Sam Johnson and wife Carolyn of Jennings; three sisters, Martha and husband Elmer Wilson of Sand Springs, Margie Tribble of Drummond and Mary and husband Raymond Carter of Hominy, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Bob Johnson, one sister Betty Kennedy, and one niece Diara Gail Tribble. Graveside services were held Mon., Nov. 19, 2001, at the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery with Kyle Deathrage officiating.
