All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Richburg Cemetery--Perry OK The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 34, No. 8 Wednesday, February 20, 2002 Page 5 Ruth Nadina Karcher Ruth Nadina Karcher, 77, Stillwater, formerly of Perry, was the daughter of Frank Christmas Jordan and Thelma Martha Bozarth. She was born on Oct. 12, 1924 at Middleburg, Ok, and passed away Fri. Feb. 15, 2002 at Grace Living Center in Stillwater. Ruth was a graduate of Perry High School. On June 2, 1951, she and Oswarld Herman Karcher were married in Perry. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She and Ozzie owned and oerated the bus station in the 1950s and the OK Café in the late 1960s. She later worked at the 89er Restaurant and retired from the restaurant business while working at the Cherokee Strip. She was active in the local Democrat Party and enjoyed working the elections for many years. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Bill Luster, Stillwater; four sons, Richard Karchar, Dayton, KY, Reggie Karcher, Sacramento, CA, Ronnie Karcher, Dayton, KY, and Randy Karcher, OKC; one sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Orlan Lemler, Hominy; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ozzie, one sister, Margie Van Brunt, her parents and two grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral services was held at 2:00 p.m. Tues. Feb. 19, 2002 at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. Rev. Walter J. Wehmeier officiated. Burial was in Richburg Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.
