All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Kitterman, Lawrence "Pete" Lawrence "Pete" Kitterman, 79, of Fairfax, Okla., died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at a Fairfax nursing home. Memorials: New Hope Christian Fellowship, 161 N. Fifth, Fairfax, Okla. 74637. Pete was born July 27, 1926, in Grainola, Okla., the son of Charles and Dollie Jones Kitterman. Pete attended Spartan Aeronautics School in Tulsa from 1944-1945 and then went to work for American Airlines in Tulsa. Pete was a self-taught engineer and later became the first employee of Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth to work as an engineer without a degree. He held 19 patents for various mechanical and electronic devices. In addition to working at Bell Helicopter, he also operated an electronics business in Fort Worth for eight years. On Feb. 12, 1988, he married Nelda Rhoads in Fort Worth. They moved to Fairfax in 1990 to enjoy their retirement. Survivors: Wife, Nelda; daughter, Linda Henry and husband, Steve, of Aledo; son, Craig Kitterman and wife, Elyse, of Fort Worth; stepson, Monty Mashburn of Tampa, Fla.; stepdaughter, Yvonne Milner of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Mikel Siegmund and husband, Ryan, and Tanner Henry; stepgrandson, Hoby Milner; great-grandson, Mason Siegmund; brother, Charles Kitterman and wife, Dorothy; and sisters, Dolly Elderton, Barbara Rice and husband, Gene, and Louise and husband, Echols.
