All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Cremation, Stumpff Chapel FH--Barnsdall OK The Hominy News – Progress Vol. 34, No. 5 January 30, 2002 Alice Mary Lou Lawrence Alice Mary Lou Lawrence passed away and went home to be with our Lord Wed. morning, Jan. 23, 2002 at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville. She was born April 16, 1950 in Cushing. She was the daughter of Dell and Mildred Smith Meadows. Alice was raised by her Aunt Ruby and the late D. A. Coffman in Barnsdall along with her cousins Robert Coffman of Wynona, Van Coffman of Coweta, and Raymond Coffman of Barnsdall. Alice enjoyed the years that she worked in dietary at Jane Phillips Hospital and left many special friends behind. She enjoyed crafting, collecting bears, and Dr. Pepper, but the greatest joy of her life was her daughter, Alicia and her grand-children, Elizabeth, Cody, Matthew, and Rachel of Barnsdall, and her special friend, Ted Crawford of Hominy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, O. J. and Mary Meadows, both of her parents, and by two brothers. Alice is survived by her daughter, four grand-children, one brother, Jim Meadows of Cherokee, four sisters; Bea O’Brien of Tucson, Az, Nettie Smith of Pryor, Nita Richardson of Hominy, and Kay Bartlett of Ochelata, and her uncle and aunt, Roy and Louise Meadows of Hominy, plus numerous cousins, nephews, and niece. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Fri. Jan. 25, 2002 at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Barnsdall with Reverend Barry Gott officiating.
