All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Woodland Cemetery--Cleveland OK The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 33, No. 36 Wednesday, September 5, 2001 Page 4 Marlene Rue LeFlore Marlene Rue LeFlore, lifelong Cleveland area resident, was born July 18, 1934 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Art Willis and Thelma Louise Baker. Marlene was raised in Cleveland and attended school here. Marlene worked for several years as a seamstress for the Munsingwear Company in Hominy. She loved animals, especially her pets which included dogs, cats and birds. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Marlene was married to Abe 'Sonny' LeFlore on February 4, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple spent many hours working together taking care and moving yards for people in the Cleveland area. She passed away on Sat., Sept. 1, 2001 at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home at the age of sixty- seven years, one month and thirteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Louise Haley. Marlene is survived by her husband, Sonny LeFlore, of the home; daughter, Patricia Ann Adams, Alabama; granddaughter, Brandy Lea Carter, Tulsa; great-grandson, Dakoda Wayne Morelock, Mannford; brother, Bob Baker, Miami; two nephews, Gary Haley and Bobby Baker, two nieces, Owanna Schuler and Lisa Mayfield, five great nephews and two great nieces. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wed., Sept. 5, 2001 at the Woodland Cemetery Chapel with Rev. George Boston officiating.
