He was the son of Louis Wayne Linville and Deana Fay (Davis) Ellis. Darren was raised in the Tulsa and Catoosa area, attending school in Tulsa, Catoosa and Nowata. Upon completion of his schooling, Darren worked as a laborer for various construction companies throughout the Tulsa area. Darren's hobbies included motorcycles and automobiles. His favorite pastime was spending time and playing with his nephews and nieces. Darren passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of twenty-nine, one month and one day. He is survived by his father and wife Louis and Judy Linville of Nowata; his mother and her husband, Deana and John Ellis of Tulsa; brother, Jeff Burgess of Claremore; two sisters, Debora Baker of Tulsa, and shelly Sellers of Broken Arrow; two step-brothers, Travis Linville of Nowata, and Trent Bass of Claremore; step-sister, Terra Bass of Nowata; and his paternal grandmother, Bessie Linville of Hominy. Funeral services was held at 2:00 p.m., Fri., Nov. 2, 2001 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Willis Morgan officiating.
