All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hominy Cemetery--Hominy OK The Hominy News Dec. 2, 1949 Vol. 45, No. 3 Page 1 Rites Held for Frank Lohowa Services for Frank Lohowa, 63-year-old full blood Osage Indian, were conducted Thursday morning with burial following in the Hominy cemetery under the direction of the Powell Funeral home. Lohowa died Monday at his home in Tulsa. Indian rites were held at the home of Bob Morrell Thursday morning and were followed by Catholic services at the St. Joseph's Catholic church here. The Rev. Mr. Milkenmyer of Tulsa was in charge of the latter rites and was assisted by the Rev. Victor Van de Walle, Hominy. Born in Kansas August 4, 1886, Lohowa had spent most of his life in the Hominy vicinity. For the past nine years, he has made his home in Tulsa.
