The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ JOHN LLOYD STARR, Sr. OCNS - May 3, 2002 - John Lloyd Starr, Sr., 88, resident of Twin Oaks, Oklahoma, for the past sixteen years, died April 29, 2002, at Siloam Springs (Arkansas) Memorial Hospital. Mr. Starr was born September 29, 1913 in Jasper, Arkansas, the son of Sidney Issac Starr and Clara Rinda Henderson Starr. He was a dairy farmer and Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and Lowery Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include; two sons, Paul Franklin Starr of Twin Oaks and John Lloyd Starr, Jr. of Claremore, Oklahoma; three daughters, Susan Ann Starr Cartwright of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Rinda Sue Star Alsip of Chandler, Oklahoma and Elizabeth Lynn Starr Johnson of Twin Oaks; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Irena Barnell Starr in 1985. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Lowery Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Douglas Carey officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m., in the Ethel Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
