Reed and Dovie Ann Horine Reed in Levelland, Texas. On June 30, 2002 he passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee. He was 69 years old. Jimmie was raised in Wynona, graduating from Wynona High School. He entered the Military and joined the Army. He served occupational duty in Germany and was in the European Theater Operations. He was currently a member of Disabled American Veterans. While in the Army his highest rank was received as a Staff Sargeant. He married Geraldine Swift and they made their home in Wynona. Jimmie is survived by his sister Lila Martoquin and her husband Charles of Fort Worth, Texas; five stepchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Nathan Reed and a sister Dolores McDaniel. Services for Jimmie Reed were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. Graveside services were held Tues. July 2, 2002 at A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy.
