Reed and Dovie Ann Horine Reed and passed away June 30, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Jimmie was reared in Wynona, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Wynona High School before joining the U.S. Army, acquiring the rank of Staff Sargeant. He served occupational duty in Germany and was in the European Theater Operations. At the time of his death he was a member of Disabled American Veterans. Jimmie married Geraldine Swift and they made their home in Wynona. Jimmie is survived by his sister, Lila Marroquin and her husband, Charles of Fort Worth, Texas, five stepchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Nathan Reed and a sister, Dolores McDaniel. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma with Pastor Carl Stage officiating. The Family entrusted Powell Funeral Home, Hominy with the Services.
