James was born October 19, 1982 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jimmy Corbett and Tammy Ella (Switzner) Corder. He grew up and received his elementary education in Avant, Oklahoma, until the Eighth Grade when he started attending Skiatook Public Schools where he was a student at the time of his death. James was also employed with Richard Gruenwald in Avant as a concrete worker and had just started working for Draperies To Go in Skiatook. As a young boy James was a member of the Avant Cub Scouts. He liked music and loved to play his radio loud and had just bought his car which he was very proud of. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Tammy and Tim Cornett of the home, his father, Jimmy Corder of Ramona, Oklahoma; twin sisters, Bobby Jo and Robby Ann Switzner of Avant, twin brother and sister, Gary Wayne and Cari Diane Bales; half brother and sister, Elvin Corder and Michelle Corder, grandmother, Betty King of Avant and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., in the Skiatook High School Auditorium with Mrs. Earleen Reedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook under the direction of Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Ethel Reece Cemetery, Barnsdall under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors of Pawhuska.
