JoAnn was born July 4, 1952 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the daughter of James R. and Juanita (Elias) Corle. JoAnn and James (Jim) S. Hunt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hunt of Sedan, Kansas, were married on March 21, 1976. James was in the military and JoAnn followed him to various military assignments in California and Germany, before returning to Pawhuska in 1983. A lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a Pawhuska High School graduate, JoAnn began working at The Pawhuska City Library after graduation from high school and resumed her career there upon returning to Pawhuska. JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She leaves her husband, James S. Hunt, son James S. Hunt, Jr., daughter, Alicia Hunt and mother, Juanita Corle, all of Pawhuska; granddaughters, Hannah and Mackenzie Corle Hunt of Kansas City; nieces and nephews, Ryan Corle, Jerod Ryan and Jennifer Ryan McBride and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn her passing. Rosary was December 1, 2002 in The Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska. Mass was celebrated Monday, December 2, in The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska with Father Leonard Higgins officiating. Burial was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska, was in charge of arrangements.
