Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today in Rose Chapel at BSA Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Ms. Mercer was born in Hominy, Okla., and had been a resident of Amarillo for 34 years. Most of her life she was a bookkeeper. She recently began making telephone calls from her home on behalf of American Council for the Blind. Survivors include two sons, Dan Mercer of Borger and Josh Mercer of Austin; and a granddaughter.
