Juanita was born October 28, 1924 in Avant, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Enos and Sadie (Lane) Grube and attended the Shidler, Oklahoma schools. She passed away August 4, 2000 in The St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma following an extended illness. Juanita was married November 3, 1977 in Pawhuska, to Billy Buck Davis who precededed her in death on December 1, 1994. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of Pershing, Oklahoma and a member of the American Legion Auxillary. Surviving are eight children: Belva Randolph of Kaw City, Oklahoma; Elizabeth Cheney of West Memphis, Arkansas; Marcine Cooper and Mary Jane Moore of Wichita, Kansas; John Alkire and Stella Rose Alkire of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dale Lee Alkire of Webb City, Oklahoma and Billy Alkire of Pawhuska; a sister, Pauline Hazlett of Pawhuska; eighteen grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Juanita was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie Alkire and Everett Alkire. Services were held Monday, August 7, 2000 in The Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in The Pawhuska Cemetery with Reverend John White officiating. Johnson Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
