Watson Jerry G. Watson of Osage was born August 23, 1925 in Jackson, Michigan to Vance and Nadine Duncan Watson. He entered into rest on May 9, 2001, at Cleveland Area Hospital. He graduated from Athens High School in Glen elder, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army where he actively served in World War II. He was united in marriage to Vera on April 4, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. They just recently celebrated 55 loving years together. In his spare time he like to hunt, fish and play golf. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Hays, Kansas Lodge. He retired from Allstate Insurance Co. in 1981 after 13 years with the company. He is survived by his wife Vera Watson of the home, three daughters and one son: Jerilyn Sue Russell; Patricia Lee Voorhees and husband Bill; Cheryl Dee Gibson and husband David; and Terry W. Watson; four grandsons, two great granddaughters and one great-grandson. No services were planned. The family entrusted Powell Funeral Home with the arrangements.
