He was 85 years old and a longtime resident of Turley. Mr. Core was born in rural Hominy, where he lived for many years before entering the U.S. Air Corps, from which he retired after 30 years. After his retirement, he resided in Turley until his death. He is survived by a brother Dale Core, of San Antonio, TX, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents, Arch and Violet Core, and brothers, Don and Frank. Burial service will be a Graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday morning, October 17, 2002 at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy.
