FARMER OCNS - June 9, 2001 - Lola M. Farmer, 75, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, in the Barnsdall (Oklahoma) Nursing Home following an extended illness. Lola was born May 27, 1925, in Brownsville, Texas, the daughter of Omer M. and Elsie lee (Forbes) Patrick and on May 4, 1946, she married A.E. "Bertie" Farmer in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The Farmers have lived in the Nelagoney, Oklahoma area all of their married life. Lola had been a cook for the Nelagoney, Indian Camp and Wynona Schools over the years and was a homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go with her husband to feed their cattle. She also enjoyed taking bus trips with her friends to Branson, Missouri, and Muskogee, Oklahoma, to see the flowers and various other points of interest. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nelagoney. Surviving are: her husband, A.E. "Bertie" Farmer of the home; two sons, Norman Farmer and his wife, Janell, of Newalla, Oklahoma, and Lee Duane Farmer of Tallahassee, Florida; two daughters, Kay Gray and her husband, Ted, of Talala, Oklahoma, and Teresa Jo Conner and her husband, George of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Bob Early of Foyle, Oklahoma; Norma and Joe Powell of Venezuela; and Linda and Lewis Thomas of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; six brothers and sisters-in- law: Loy and Louise Patrick and Doy Patrick all of Pawhuska; Jay and Kay Patrick of Barnsdall; John and Debbie Patrick of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Carl and Sharon Patrick of Amarillo, Texas, and Kenneth and Debbie Patrick of Stillwater, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services were held May 18, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Priest of Oologah, Oklahoma, officiating. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Pawhuska was in charge of arrangements.
