Frosty was born March 26, 1929, in Dustin, Oklahoma to Earnest and Gracie (Null) McDaniel. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army with the 8th Calvary Regimental "Scout Platoon". On April 22, 19564 he married Norma Jean Palmer at McAlester, Oklahoma and to this union six children were born. Frosty worked for the Goodyear Tire Company in Denver, Colorado until his retirement in 1981, at which time he returned to Oklahoma and entered into his own business which he operated until his death. Frosty is survived by his four daughters, Audrey Cross and her husband, Jack of Perry, Oklahoma, Andrea McDaniel and her companion Marvin Moler of Pawhuska, Amber Komahceet and her husband, Billy of Indiahoma, Oklahoma, Angela McDaniel and her companion, Ira Lookout of Pawhuska; a son David McDaniel and his wife, Melissa of Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is also survived by a grandson whom he raised, Dion McDaniel and his wife, Dawanna of Pawhuska. Other survivors include thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Neal McDaniel and his wife, Donna of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Gil McDaniel and his wife, Aurora of Alvin, Texas, Jack Stiles of Pink, Oklahoma; one aunt, Lindy Conley of Holdenville, Oklahoma; and two uncles, Louis McDaniel and his wife, Lois of Holdenville and Bill McDaniel of Dustin, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Frosty was preceded in death by his life-long partner and loving wife, Jean on September 2, 1999; one daughter, Ruby Proctor, his parents and his only sister, Myrtle. Memorial services were held in the McCosar Family Cemetery, Holdenville, Oklahoma. Family requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
