The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LEONA MAE YEAGER OCNS - June 9, 2001 - Funeral services for Leona Mae Yeager, 75, were held Wednesday, May 16, in the First United Methodist Church, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, with burial in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Leona was born June 10, 1925, in Ochelata, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Francis A. (Carter) Zink and died May 11, 2001, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She graduated from Shidler (Oklahoma) High School in 1946 and then moved to Emporia, Kansas, to work. On January 25, 1947, Leona married Clarence Fredrick Yeager in Lawrence, Kansas, and he preceded her in death March 22, 1994. Leona was a homemaker for many years and also worked at Pawhuska Manufacturing Company as a seamstress. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women in Pawhuska. Survivors are: a son and daughter-in-law, Louis Richard "Rick" and Vickie Yeager of Lamont, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail Lea and Robert Elias of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Shari Dawn Yeager of Lamont, Oklahoma; Kimberly Allison Elias and Felicia Dawn Elias of Bartlesville; a grandson, Michael David Yeager of Lamont; five brothers: Cecil Zink of Webb City, Oklahoma; Bill Zink of Skellytown, Texas; Henry Zink of Borger, Texas; Louis Zink of Arkansas City, Kansas; Ruben Zink of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Leona was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, LeRoy Zink and Clarence Zink, Jr. Local arrangements were under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska.
