FRONKIER OCNS - January 18, 2001 - Eleanor M. Fronkier, 85, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2001, in the Pawhuska Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Fronkier was born November 22, 1916, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Alexander Joseph and Mabel (Burns) Esch. Following highschool graduation she attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa and on July 18, 1938, in Tonkawa, married Frantz A. Fronkier who preceded her in death August 22, 1984. Mrs. Fronkier was a member of the the Pawhuska Hospital Auxiliary, the Hooker's Club and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was past president of the Altar Society. Surviving are: four daughters, Susan Mundy of Norwood, Missouri; Anne Thomas and husband, Ron, of Bozeman, Montana; Ellen Weigant and husband, Jim, and Mary BigEagle and husband, Homer; and one son, Frantz Fronkier, all of Pawhuska; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren (with one on the way), one great-great grandchild and a host of other family and friends. Mass was celebrated Tuesday, January 16, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Higgins officiating. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
