Les was born March 25, 1953 in Bristow, Oklahoma, the son of Wilford C. "Willie" and Frances J. (Lozier) Carman. He was a member of the 1971 graduating class of Pawhuska (Oklahoma) Highschool where he was a two-time State Champion for the Huskie Wrestling Team. He was a member of the Steer Ropers Association, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, the Pawhuska Round-Up Club and the Assembly of God Church. Les was an independent oil producer and an ardent outdoorsman. Surviving Les are his family: Lori Carman, Miranda "Mindy" Carman, Mitzi Carman, Tiger Carman, Frances J. Carman, Larry Carman and a host of other relatives and friends. Les was preceded in death by his father, Willie Carman and a brother, Lonnie Carman. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in the Assembly of God Church in Pawhuska with Reverend Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
