He passed away Wed. July 31, 2002 at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 18 days. Elvin attended school in Adair. On May 7, 1948, he married the love of his life, Loreta Moore, in Sacramento, Ca. Elvin was a retired security officer for Rader's. He also was a loving husband dad and grandpa. Elvin enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Texas Rangers, going fishing and hunting. Elvin is survived by his wife Loreta Holt; one son Norman Holt and his wife Bonnie of Pawnee; three daughters, LaDonna Forbes and her husband, Roger, of Waverly, Kentucky; Lavonne May and her husband, Kenith, of Prue; Laura Graham and her husband, Mark, of Osage; 12 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; two brothers Delmar Holt and Eugene Holt; six sisters Lela Johnson, Lena Martin, Letha Berg, Leotha McKinney, Leona Pepper, Leroxy Jamison; other relatives and a host of friends. Elvin was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Linda Avey; one brother, Melburn Holt; and one sister, Lanora Couch. Graveside services were held on Sat. Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. at Bristow City Cemetery. Delmar Holt officiated. Services were under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home in Bristow.
