The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ALVIN RAY ADAMS OCNS - September 3, 2002 - Alvin Ray Adams, 58, of Hominy, Oklahoma, entered into rest August 31, 2002 at Cleveland Area Hospital in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Alvin was born April 10, 1944 in Hominy to Alvin T. and Helen Grace Blackwell Adams. Alvin was reared in the Hominy, Barnsdall, Cleveland and Skiatook areas of Oklahoma and worked in California for a number of years. He was an active Master Machinist Tool and Die Maker and worked for BG&S in Skiatook until his retirement three years ago. He was half Cherokee Indian and had served on the council of the United Band of the Western Cherokee Nation. In his spare time he loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include two sons, Brian R. Adams of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Alvin R. Adams, Jr. of Skiatook; two brothers, Leroy Adams of Skiatook and Paul Adams of Terlton, Oklahoma; one sister, Mary Holliman of Catoosa, Oklahoma and three grandchildren. Private family services were held for Mr. Adams who was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy.
