The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LEWIS WARREN "PETE" LABADIE OCNS - April 27, 2000 - Mr. Lewis Warren "Pete" Labadie, 57, of Bartlesville, died at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at his residence in Bartlesville, Oklahoma Funeral services for Mr. Labadie will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend David Cottam of the Dewey Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home of Bartlesville. Casket escorts will include members of the Kansas International Oldtimer's Rodeo Association. Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home until 11:00 a.m., Friday as the casket will remain closed at the service. Memorials have been established to First Church of the Nazarene, 3650 S.E. Adams Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006 and to the Kansas International Oldtimer's Rodeo Association, with the donations payable to the Lewis W. Labadie Memorial, ATTN: Patty Moshier, WestStar Bank, P.O. Box 999, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74005. Mr. Labadie was born on November 7, 1942 at Bartlesville to Charles Warren and Melba Jean (Mills) Labadie. He grew up in Caney, Kansas and graduated from high school there in 1960. He attended Kansas University where he received his Bachelors degree in 1965. Mr. Labadie served with the National Guard from March 15, 1965 until March 14,1971. He was married to Donna Marie Henshall on December 3, 1976 in Bartlesville where they made their home. Mr. Labadie was employed with Philllips Petroleum Company for twenty-seven years, mostly at the Research Center. He attend the First Church of the Nazarene, was a member of the Kansas International Oldtimer's Rodeo Association and enjoyed raising cattle and horses. Mr. Labadie is survived by his wife, Mrs. Donna Labadie of Bartlesville two daughters, Cindy Wilhite and her husband, David of Olathe, Kansas, and Debbie Wally and her husband, John of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Mike Labadie and his wife, Suzanne of Oklahoma City, and Lance Labadie of Bartlesville, his mother, Melba Labadie of Caney, Kansas, and three grandchildren, Jessica Wally, Megan Wally, and Page Wilhite. Mr. Labadie was preceded in death by his father, Charles Warren Labadie in 1997.
