LELA E. OVERLEY- 1986 Funeral services for former Pawhuskan, Lela Elizabeth Overley, 93 of Tuttle, Okla. will be held Thursday, May 125 at one pm at the Seviers Memorial Chapel of Tuttle, Okla. Mrs. Overly died May 12, 1986 in the Grady Memorial Hospital of Chickasha following an extended illness. She was born December 21, 1892, the daughter of ALBERT L. SUMTER AND SENITH HESTER SUMPTER SUMTER. She married John W. Overley on March 30, 1912. She had been a resident of Grady County for many years. She was a housewife and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs . Elva Grimes of Newcastle and Biulle Welchell of Tuttle, Okla. Five granddaughters and 19 great and great great grands. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews of Pawhuska. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Overley on October 23, 1971 and a son, George Wesley Overley on June 3, 1980. The Rev. Louis Gibbs of Bethany, assisted by the Rev. Ortho. Rogers, of Tuttle will officiant. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home.
