TAYLOR OCNS - July 19, 2002 - Macy I. Taylor, 82, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2002, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Macy was born February 25, 1920 in Scotland, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles and Sarah Luella (Eskridge) Bruce. September 24, 1945, in Mt. Idi, Arkansas, she married James Curtis Taylor who preceded her in death June 18, 2002. "Miss Macy", as she was known to the children, was retired from the Pawhuska Headstart Program after serving as the Head Cook for thirty years. She was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include: Seven children, Carl Taylor and wife, Kathi of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Roy Taylor and wife, Debbie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Florene Taylor Yates of Wynona, Oklahoma, Joyce Taylor Butler and Roger Taylor both of Pawhuska; Treva Taylor Martin and husband, Gene of Skedee, Oklahoma and Caroline Taylor Offutt and husband, Don of Dewey, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services will be Tuesday, July 23, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Pawhuska with Reverend Bill Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
