Bilbrey, Mildred Lorene, 79, of Las Vegas, formerly of Wichita, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Fairview Cemetery, St. John. Mrs. Bilbrey was born Oct. 31, 1922 in Barnsdall, Okla. to Arvy U. and Opal E. Morelan. She retired from Addis Oil Operations/BARCO Supply, Great Bend and Wichita. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also involved in V.F.W. Affairs with Post, No. 3111, Great Bend and was Kansas State V.F.W. Auxiliary president in 1986/1987. On Nov. 2, 1941, she married Fern R. Bilbrey at St. John and shared his life until his death on Aug. 19, 1982. Survivors: daughter, Pat Loy of Las Vegas; sons, Ken Bilbrey of Las Vegas, Gary Bilbrey of Russell; sisters, Margaret Fuqua of Dodge City, Tanya Sultz of Wichita, Pam Tinker of Tulsa, Anna Hately of Casper, Wyo.; brother, Norman Morelan of Iuka; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to National V.F.W. Home c/o V.F.W. Auxiliary, Great Bend. Hites Funeral Home, Las Vegas.
