The Hominy News - Progress Wednesday, April 3, 2002 Page 5 Bryce Ean Martens Funeral services for Bryce Ean Martens, 6, was held Tues, April 2, 2002, at the Mennonite Brethren Church. Pastors Gary Janzen and Rich Redinger officiated. Burial followed in the North Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. Bryce was born Aug. 21, 1995 in Oklahoma City to Erland and Susie (Fairweather) Martens and died after an extended illness on March 30, 2002 at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City. Bryce attended Kindergarten at Cornelsen Elementary School. He was a member of the Mennonite Bretheren Church, a member of the S. G. Sparkles and the Awana Program. Bryce was the youngest employee of Kidd Drug and a member of the Fairview Chamber of Commerce with his mother, he was a #1 Honary OSU Cowboy Fan. Bryce enjoyed life to the fullest. He is survived by his parents, one brother: Mark, and one sister: Maggie of the home. Maternal grandparents, E. D. and Leva Fairweather of Hominy and paternal grandmother, Adina Martens, of Fairview. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Louise Fairweather and his paternal grandfather, Walter P. Martens. Visitation was Monday and Tuesday and the casket was open at the church.
