Osage County, Oklahoma, Obituary: Charles E. Morin Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: S. Ashton Email: listsa7476@sbcglobal.net ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORIN, Charles E. - What was to have been a happy reunion of father and son turned out to be a tragic event in the life of Delbert Morin who arrived in Pawhuska Monday afternoon and identified the body of Charles E. Morin being held at the Johnson funeral home as that of his father. Morin, age 57, an employee at the Barton Carter ranch two miles east of Pawhuska, was found dead Sunday noon at the Carter home… Morin was found on the kitchen floor by Carter who returned home Sunday noon after being away for several days… Morin was a trainer of race horses and has spent the greater part of his life in the western part of the country training horses. About twelve years ago he came to Nowata where he resided until about two months ago when he came to Pawhuska to handle Carter’s stable. Delbert, the son, had just returned from Juarez, Mexico and was visiting friends at Fairfax before coming to Pawhuska. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Johnson chapel and burial was made in the city cemetery.
