Marilyn Jean McDuffie

Marilyn Jean (Vemillion) McDuffie was born August 18, 1953 in Tulsa, to 
Brice and Jean (Ledbetter) Vermillion.  She went to be with our Lord on 
August 6, 2001.  She was 47 years old.

Marilyn was raised in Tulsa, graduated from McClain High School in 1971.  
After graduation she attended Vo-Tech where she majored in Computer Science.  
She worked for Frisco Railroad, where she increased her knowledge of Data 
Processing.  She worked for Texaco for 13 years and always enjoyed working 
with computers.  She was currently employed a EDS.  She spoke at Computer 
Conferences all over the United States and taught fellow employees.  
Marilyn was a very outgoing and friendly person, she loved to play her 
flute.  She had a very active church life, and loved spending time with 
her nieces and nephews.  Marilyn, who loved life and was loved by all, 
will be terribly missed.

Marilyn is survived by two children, Douglas Eno McDuffie and Amber Jean 
McDuffie; her parents Brice and Jean Vermillion of Osage, one sister Sharon 
Hutco and husband Dariel of Kennsington, Maryland; two brothers Tommy 
Vermillion and wife Sue of Lubbuck, Texas; Roger Dale Vermillion and wife 
Kathy of Liberal, KS; seven nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Marilyn were held at 11 a.m. Fri., Aug. 10, 2001 at 
Keystone Hills Baptist Church in Sand Springs.  Officiating services was 
Reverend Garry McDevitt from First Baptist Church of Prue and Reverend 
Andy Finch of Keystone Hills Baptist Church in Sand Springs.

Services were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home in Hominy.  In 
lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be given to the American 
Diabetes Foundation or your favorite charity.
