Born May 26, 1905 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Elas and Odile (Smaha) Zaroor, Mary owned and operated The Hollywood Shoppe in Pawhuska for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth Jenning of Kerrville, Texas; a sister-in- law, Blanche Zaroor of Muskogee, Oklahoma; six nieces, Norma Jean and Fred Stewart of Prospect Heights, Illinois; Gloria Heisley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Marcia Owen of Dallas, Texas; Karen and Jack Lauderdale, Diane Dugger and Janice Tennant, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fred Zaroor. Rosary will be recited Sunday, August 20, at 7:30 p.m., in The Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska. Mass will be Monday, August 21, at 10:00 a.m., in The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska with Father Leonard Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in The Pawhuska City Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
