Mrs. Plumleigh was born August 22, 1931 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dave and Bessie (Simms) Tincher. October 13, 1949, she married John Richard Plumleigh in Bartlesville and was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and six children. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include: Her husband, John Plumleigh of the home in Wynona; five daughters, Teresa Baumert and husband, Brad of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Johnnie Yozzo and husband, Mark of Tulsa, Elaine Fulsom and husband, Paul Jay of Cedar Vale, Kansas, Sue Plumleigh of Winfield, Kansas and Carrie Morris and husband, Jason of Wynona; her son Rick Plumleigh of Wynona; numerous nieces and nephews, including Howard Engle of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, and Mardi Shores of Fernley, Nevada, whom the Plumleighs helped to rear; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska, Oklahoma with Father Leonard Higgins officiating. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, in the First Baptist Church of Wynona with Reverend Terry Jarrard officiating. Interment will be in the Foraker Cemetery, Foraker, Oklahoma. Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska, is in charge of arrangements.
