Simpkins Plate in Newkirk, Oklahoma and entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2002. Eunice was reared in Newkirk, graduating from Newkirk High School in 1937. She married Howard E. Rogers on May 5, 1938 in Morrison, Oklahoma and they made their first home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They reared their family and operated a dirt construction company for several years before moving to Hominy, Oklahoma in 1973. Eunice was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was a woman of God, a mighty prayer warrior who deeply loved her family. She was active in her church when she was able and her inspirational writings will be treasured for years to come. Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Wilcoxson and husband, Junior of Hominy; her son Don Rogers of Hominy; four grandchildren, Sherri Kyker of Brentwood, California, Melanie Borutski of Hominy, Michelle Riggs of Tulsa, Sara Stackhouse of Pawnee, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren, J.G., Jon and Jessica Kyker, Laurene Wilcoxson, Hailey Passmore, Jacob Borutski and Dillon Stackhouse. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband and sister, Evelyn Johnston and one grandson, Jay Wilcoxson. Services were held Thursday September 5, 2002 in the Assembly of God Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Arrangements were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy.
