PETE SUMTER was born Sept. 23,1889 in SALLISAW, Okla. Indain territory. He was the son of ALBERT L. SUMTER AND HESTER (SUMPTER) SUMTER. he was married to CALLIE ROBINSON SUMTER on jan 27, 1936 in Pawhuska, okla. Member of the church of Christ, he was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, CALLIE SUMTER of the home.one son: RUSSELL SUMTER of TULSA, OK. three daughters: EVA SUMTER SEGIAL of SAN DIEGO, CALIF., VERA SUMTER STICKOVICH of ANCHORAGE ALASKA, GEORGIS SUMTER MADISON of STOCKTON, CALIF.; one sister: LELA SUMTER OVERLY of TUTTLE, OKLA.; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grand child.
