Pitts Everett was born on October 29, 1921 in in Osage county in Okeesa, Oklahoma. Everett served in the Army from September 17, 1942 to November 17, 1945. He enjoyed family and friends, fishing and trap shooting. He was loved by all. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laurine Bagley Pitts; sons, Everett F. Pitts of Westfield, MA, and Gary E. Pitts and daughter-in-law Lessie of Central Point; two sisters, Ida Fay and Mamie; one brother, Carl; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Nathan, Sheryl and Robert; one great-grandchild, Cody; and granddaughter-in-law, Michelle. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Everett and Laura Pitts, four brothers, Francis, Marion, Amos, and David. In the 06-02-2005 edition of the Mail Tribune there is an expanded obituary accompanied with a photo.
