Betty passed away at her home on June 4, 2002. She was 72 years of age. Betty was raised and educated in Barnsdall. She graduated from Barnsdall High School. After High School she attended Washington State University, where she received a degree in Nursing and became a registered Nurse. She met the love of her life LuDon Peters in August of 1952. They were united in marriage on Feb. 25, 1954 in Chandler. Betty and LuDon celebrated 48 years together. They made their home in Hominy and started a family. Betty lived in Hominy until her passing. Betty was a very happy person, devoting her life to the happiness and wellbeing of her family. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. She loved the tme spent with her children and grand children. She especially enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren. She had a wealth of knowledge always knowing what to say at the right time. Betty is survived by her loving husband LuDon Peters of the home, a son Steven Don Peters and his wife Reashinda, of Cushing, a daughter Debra Kathleen Dilley and her husband Wayne of Hominy, a son Kevin Dean Peters of Hominy of Hominy, a daughter in law Candi Jo Goodman of Cleveland, her grandchildren Christina Holloway and her husband Steven of Cleveland, Kristen Peters of Hominy, Steven Michael Peters of Cushing, Mandi Nicole Peters of Cleveland, Matthew Garrison of Hominy, Devin Shawn Robinson of Hominy, Candice Rae Goodman of Cleveland, Shelby Leigh Goodman of Cleveland, Victoria Lynn Goodman of Celeveland, Kalyn Paige Dilley of Hominy, Curtis Don Peters of Cushing, Rian Joseph Peters of Cushing, Kendra Laine Dilley of Hominy, great grandchildren Morgan Jo Holoway of Cleveland, Kamron Nykote Peters of Hominy, plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents and grandparents. Services for Betty Peters were held on Fri. June 7, 2002 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as Casket Bearers were close friend Charlie Wilson, son Steven Peters, son in law Wayne Dilley and grandsons Steve Peters, Matthew Garrison, and Devin Robinson. Officiating services were Rev. David Player and Rev. William Forrest.
