All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Tucson Citizen, Tucson AZ Irene Sanders Richards, Irene (Renie) was born in Paducah, KY, February 22, 1906. Her family later moved to Pawhuska, when Oklahoma was a territory, where her father opened a law firm. Irene attended Oklahoma State University and later worked for her hometown newspaper as a Society reporter. In 1937 she married Linden Richards and spent her married life in Texas, Oklahoma and Canada as an oil executive wife. She was active in the 1st Baptist Church, Calgary Golf and Country Club, Handicapped Hospital, Calgary Petroleum Club and American Womens Club. Renie and Lindy moved to Tucson to retire in 1978. In Tucson she was a member of Catalina Baptist Church and Tucson Country Club. She is survived by her daughters Kate Carlson and Renie Cesare, sons in law John Carlson and Joe Cesare, six grandchildren, Nina Alley, Judy Alley, G.T. Alley, Linden Ritchie, Cody Ritchie, and Renie Colwell, five great grandchildren, Hannah Ritchie, Mack Colwell, Jack Colwell, Julia Ritchie and Kristen Ritchie, Patricia Ritchie, wife of Cody Ritchie and Danielle Alley, wife of G.T. Alley. A closed private graveside ceremony will be held by the family on Saturday, November 12, 2005. In lieu of flowers please send remembrances to Gospel Rescue Mission or Tucson Community Food Bank. Irene's family would like to thank all of their friends as well as the caregivers at Aslan's Home Care for their prayers, love and kindnesses shown.
