Julia R. Carrington Ricker

Julia Russell Carrington Ricker was born October 11, 1917 to William Henry 
and Sarah Elizabeth (Hardin) Carrington in Hominy, Oklahoma.  She died 
December 17, 2000 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the Grace Living Center.  
Julia was 84 years old.

After graduating from Hominy High School, Julia moved to Stillwater, 
Oklahoma where she married Eugene Herbert Ricker on October 9, 1937 in 
Cushing Oklahoma.  The couple were lifelong residents of Stillwater.  Mrs. 
Ricker was a member of the Stillwater Women's Golf association for over 20 
years.

Mrs. Ricker was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Ricker is survived by a son, Larry Ricker and his wife Dee Ann of 
Stillwater, Oklahoma; and a daughter, Shelley Ricker, also of Stillwater; 
four grandchildren, Betsy Horinek and her husband Justin of Dallas, Texas; 
Brian Ricker of Dallas, Texas, Jane Ann Hartman of Queens, New York; and 
Matthew Hartman of Portland, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene on December 17, 1999.

A private service was held.  Strode Funeral Home was in charge.
