On June 12, 2002 she earned her "Angel Wings." She was 61 years, 4 months, and 15 days. Patsy was raised in Hominy and attended Hominy Public Schools. On July 21, 1955 she was united in marriage to H. T. (Red) Owens. Out of this union 4 children were born, Brenda, Rock, Jeanne, and Daniel. Red worked pipeline construction which led to a lot of travel throughout the United States but they always considered Hominy their home. In the early years Patsy enjoyed fishing and playing cards, but as Red's salary increased she developed a new hobby "shopping." Everyone enjoyed and benefited from her new hobby except Red. Patsy followed her children and grandchildren faithfully throughout their sporting events eventually becoming "Nan" to all. Nan hated to see her grandchildren get into trouble so she spent much of her time conspiring with them to stay in the good graces of their parents. Nan had a gift for making everyone she talked to feel special. Patsy was preceded in death by her son Rock Owens, her father Robert Selby Robinson, her grandson Selby Dustin Ford, her brother Jack Lee Robinson, her mother Iva Pauline Robinson and her grandson Marques Neal Davis. Patsy leaves behind her loving husband H.T. (Red) Owens, a daughter Brenda Owens Davis and husband Bobby Davis, a daughter Jeanne Owens and a son Daniel Owens and wife Christy Cable Owens. One sister, Sue Downey and husband F.L. Downey, one brother Tommy Robinson and wife Cheryl Robinson. Six grandchildren, Brittany Davis, Austin Helton, Dillon Owens, Anthony Davis, Derek Owens, and Cassie Owens and one great grandchild Brooklyn Nicole Davis. Patsy "Nan" will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Services for Patsy were Tues. Jan. 15, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Hominy with Reverend Mark Wright officiating. Pall Bearers were Howard Kennedy, Leo Youtsey, Gene Byers, Kenny Christian, Chris Clemishire, and Gene Coffey. The family entrusted Powell Funeral Home with service arrangements.
