The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ROBERT DEAN GAYLOR OCNS - May 19, 2002 - Mr. Robert Dean Gaylor, 62, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, died at 10:50 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2002 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graveside services for Mr. Gaylor will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall with Pastor Phil Clements of the Assembly of God Church in Barnsdall officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post #227 of Barnsdall. Services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home. Friends who wish, may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home in Barnsdall until 8:00 p.m., Monday. A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association of Oklahoma, 2800 Center, 2805 East Skelly Drive, Suite 806, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74105-6252. My Gaylor was born April 13, 1940 at Park Hill, Oklahoma to James Allen and Lizzie (Smith) Gaylor. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville and then worked at Woolaroc until 1963 when he entered the U.S. Army. Following his Honorable Discharge in 1965, he was employed by Osage County and at service stations in Barnsdall. He was employed with the Bareco platn in Barnsdall in 1968 and was an EP operator at the time his active employment ceased due to ill health in 1994. He also owned BG's in Barnsdall for a short time. Mr. Gaylor was married to Stella Rae Delancy on April 26, 1963 at Barnsdall and they have made their home in Barnsdall since that time. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion in Barnsdall. Mr. Gaylor is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Gaylor of the home in Barnsdall, one son, Leslie Dean Gaylor of Roanoke, Texas; one daughter, Lauri Gaylor of Barnsdall, and one brother, James Gaylor of Welling, Oklahoma. Mr. Gaylor was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, M.L. Gaylor; five sisters, Hazel Teehee, Catherine Matlock, Thersa Massey, Madeline Tackett and Mary Busby and one daughter, Libby Dawn Gaylor in 1989.
