She was born July 2, 1917 in Caldwell, Kansas, to the large and loving family of Willard and Lydia (Ancel) Roady. Ruby was married to Easley Chris Kothe September 20, 1936 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and they lived in the Fairfax, Oklahoma area for twenty years prior to moving to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to finish their working years. Ruby was a former cook for the Bowring, Oklahoma school. Survivors in addition to her husband of sixty-four years, Easley Kothe of the home in Pawhuska are: a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Phillip Morris of Stafford, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Ron "Butch" and Sue Kothe of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Jackie Howard and Jody Onofrey of Stafford, Texas; Ernie Kothe of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Robin Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mark Kothe, James Kothe, Patrick Kothe and Stephanie Ned all of Farmington, New Mexico; four sisters, Betty Mae Isaacs of Wellington, Kansas; Maxine Simmons of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Permelia Hodges of Goddard, Kansas and Opal Mullins of Carrolton, Texas; a brother, Carl Roady of Ponca City and fifteen great grandchildren in which she took great delight. Ruby was preceded in death by a son, Donald Kothe of Farmington, New Mexico; her parents, Willard and Lydia Roady; two brothers, Glen Roady of Ponca City, Ray Roady of the home, two sisters, Ruth Miller of Wellington, Kansas and Mary Ellen Roady of the home. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in The Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with committal to follow at 2:00 p.m., in The Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors of Pawhuska. The Reverend Greg Hurst of The Drippings Springs Baptist Church of Sapulpa, Oklahoma will officiate.
