Robin moved with his family at the age of 8 to Prue where he was raised and received his education. Robin attended the Prue School District. Robin was united in marriage to Janie Donell (Barnett) in Tulsa, on Dec. 1, 1988. After his marriage to Janie they made their home in Prue where they have raised their three children Skye Faye, William Ray and Matthew DeWayne. For the past year Robin was employed for Braden Manufacturing as a painter. Robin always loved to fish and hunt; he was also an artist. Robin was a member of the Prue Assembly of God Church and the Local 620. Robin passed away May 12, 2002 at Tulsa at the age of 33 years, six months and six days. Robins' paternal grandparents preceded him in death. Survived by his wife, Janie Cartwright, of the home; three children, Skye Faye, William Ray and Matthew DeWayne, of the home; parents, Williard Ray and Modena Faye of Prue; brothers, Michael Ray Cartwright of Prue; Steven Don Cartwright of Sand Springs; Terry DeWayne Cartwright of Wagoner; John david Cartwright of Prue; sister, Cheryl Modena Smalley of Tulsa; maternal grandparents, Homer Joel Prock, Boise, Idaho and Isabell Huffman of Coolidge, Arizona as well as many friends and family members. Services were held Thurs. May 16, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Prue Assembly of God Church officiated by Pastor Mike Griffin. Burial was held at Prue Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland.
