Hendrix Rufus L. Hendrix died at his home in Hominy Monday, December 24. He was born May 24, 1851, being 77 years, and 7 months old at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Emma L. Dart at Barnett, Kans., March 14, 1877. To this union were born fourteen children, nine girls and four boys, all of whom survive excepting the youngest daughter who died nine years ago at the age of fifteen years. Mr. Hendrix's parents were Methodists but in his early manhood he united with the Nazarene church. Funeral services were conducted at the Hominy Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J. A. Nayle, and interment was made in the Hominy cemetery.
