SWAN OCNS - November 21, 2001 - Rollins R. Swan, 84, lifelong resident of the Pawhuska, Oklahoma, area, passed away Wednesday, November 14, at his home near Nelagoney. Rollins was born October 7, 1917, in Nelagoney, Oklahoma, the son of Tilden and Nettie (Buckles) Swan and on April 3, 1939, at Sedan, Kansas, married Julia Juanita Johnson. The Swans made their home in the Nelagoney area where they were engaged in the ranching business. Rollins was retired from Reda Pump in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and was a member of the Pawhuska Elks Lodge #2542, the American Association of Retired Persons, NBC Life Styles Club, the Osage County Cattlemen's Association and the American Paint Horse Association. Survivors are: his wife, Juanita Swan of the home; six children; Shirley Lee Blankinship and husband, Jack, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Robert Tilden Swan and wife, Barbara of Atlanta, Georgia; Jimmy Dean Swan and wife, Kathy, of Pawhuska, Patricia June Decker and husband, Richard, of Enid, Oklahoma; Rickey Gene Swan and wife, Sharon, of Pawhuska and Sherry Daye Clickner of Pawhuska; a brother, Richard "Dick" Swan of Bartlesville; a sister, Verna Jackson of Pawhuska; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great- grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services were held November 16, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska, with Dr. Larry Wallace officiating. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
