Randy was born in Pawhuska on July 4, 1948 to Francis and Billie (Parrott) Carey and later moved to Utah where he was employed at Thrifty Car Sales in St. George and Riverdale, Utah, as Service Advisor, a title that does not adequately describe his many roles at Thrifty, but the title "Randy" doesn't read well on business cards. He loved music and was an accomplished drummer in his early years. He passed his love of music on to his son. Randy also enjoyed BMX racing and was a three time state champion. The family would like to express their gratitude to Jeanette and Bill Hudson for their concern and support during this difficult time. Randy leaves behind: his son, Eli Blackhawk Carey of Ogden, Utah; his step-mother, Billie Olmstead Carey of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his brothers, Gene Carey of Lewisville, Texas and Phil Carey of Bartlesville; his sisters, Robin McDonald of Bartlesville and Donna McWilliams and Renee Nichols, both of Oklahoma City; his buddy, Luger and many great friends. Randy is now reunited with his father, Francis Carey and his mother, Billie Parrott Carey. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m., at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, Utah where friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and also on Friday one hour prior to services. Randy's final resting place will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery, where graveside services will be held on Monday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. "Until we meet again, Randy, pleasant journey. We love you and will miss you."
