The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RUIE EVELYN WALLET OCNS - September 28, 2000 - Ruie Evelyn Wallet, 87, longtime Pawhuska, Oklahoma, resident passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2000 in The Pawhuska Hospital. Ruie was born November 17, 1912 in Williams, Oklahoma to Amos D. and Ether Mae (Victor) Howard and moved with her family to Pawhuska in 1946. May 8, 1958, she married Lavon H. Wallet in Yuma, Arizona and they moved to Brawley, California where he was in the construction business. In 1976, the Wallets returned to Pawhuska to make their home. Lavon preceded her in death on March 20, 1985. Ruie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Pawhuska. Surviving are: a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Tim Hartness of Pawhuska; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sharon Talbot of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Annette Horn of Pawhuska and Betty Turner of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; a sister, Frances Paolucci of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Ruie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Louie Howard, J.D. Howard and Robert Howard; and a sister, Anna Mae Howard. Graveside services were held Thursday, September 28, in the Pawhuska City Cemetery with Dr. Larry Wallace officiating under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors.
